Renovations - Residential, Agricultural, Commercial

Our History

Dave Daer Sr David Baer obtained his Trans Canada General Carpenter license in 1974, during which time he worked as 'lead hand' for the Donwest Neighbour's Group in Toronto. Shortly thereafter David focused his interest and started what was to become the family business in its various stages: Baer's Renovations.

After 2 successful years of operation in Toronto, David (a Southern Ontario raised farmer!) decided to move his rapidly growing family and business to Ilderton, Ontario, just north of London. From 1976 to 1984 Baer's Renovations became established as a trusted family business, well respected in the community.

With the success of Baer's Renovations, David decided to gain new experience in other facets of the construction field. As the farm building estimator/sales representative for Moffatt & Powell from 1985 to 1991, the new home sales representative for Temel Homes from 1991 to 1995, and owner/operator of his own construction consulting service Hawthorne Consultants, David continued to build on positive experience.

John Baer During this time, John Baer (David's youngest son) was 'out west' in Calgary and Edmonton, also gaining new building knowledge and experience as a professional carpenter. John's return home was the catalyst for a re-ignition of the family business.

Since 1997, the family renovation business has operated under the 'new' name:
J & D Baer Inc
